The Primrose Child Care Center was established in 1988 with eight children and one teacher.  We are a ministry of Primrose United Methodist Church and we exist as an outreach to the surrounding community and neighborhood.

We have grown over the years and now average around 75 children and 12-14 teachers.  We are licensed with the State of Arkansas and are a Better Beginnings Facility (Level 1).  State vouchers are accepted.

We start off each day with a prayer circle and devotion time.  Our preschool children recite The Lord’s Prayer each morning.  We strive to meet the needs of each child and their family and work very hard to get your child ready for kindergarten.  Each morning includes both class time with early learning of numbers, letters, shapes, and colors and play time for using the imagination and working on gross motor skills.  Weather permitting, outside play is very important for children, but when it is too hot or cold, we can use our inside gym to still run and play.

We provide before and after care for four local elementary schools (Landmark, Daisy Bates, East End Elementary, and East End Intermediate).  Homework time is provided each afternoon because we want each child to succeed in school.  We encourage all elementary children to do their homework here with us so that they can enjoy spending quality time with their families when they get home.  We provide as much homework help as possible.  We provide afternoon snacks, daily devotion time, and extra activities, such as crafts, and/or games.  During the summer and on “school’s out” days, we provide full time care for elementary students.
